Coopman Search & Selection are partnered with a high performing and specialist Compliance focused consultancy firm on a fantastic opportunity to join the business as a Senior Manager to help the growth and development of their Payments & Digital Assets practice.
Key responsibilities of the Senior Manager:
- Strong delivery experience, leading client projects providing best in class compliance support to firms focused on Payments and the intersection of this space with Digital Assets/Blockchain technology.
- Advise clients on a range of activities including payments applications and cryptoasset registrations, change of control, variation of permissions, regulatory reporting and advising on the upcoming CARF requirements.
- Stay abreast of developments in MiCA, FATF Travel Rule, PSD2/3, PSRs, and other relevant frameworks, translating them into actionable insights for clients.
- Contribute to business development initiatives, helping to shape and promote the firm's crypto and payments compliance offering through thought leadership content, go to market strategies and attending industry events.
- Help with the growth of this business area by supporting the growth of the team with new hires and the ongoing coaching and development of junior consultants, fostering a high performing, positive team culture.
Experience and competencies required of the Senior Manager:
- Strong understanding and demonstrable application of regulations relevant to the Payments and Digital Assets spaces.
- Existing working knowledge of both Payment Service Regulations 2017, the Electronic Money Regulations 2017 and current cryptoasset registration regime and financial promotions, as well as the upcoming Cryptoasset Reporting Framework. Knowledge and experience on MiCA is desirable.
- Recent and relevant experience in a similar role, from either consultancy or an in-house environment, where responsibility has involved building and managing a team. Exposure to business development, public speaking or content creation is desirable.
- Have a strong attention to detail ensuring projects are completed in a timely manner.
- Commercial acumen to understand business objectives and the alignment with the services this team provides.
- Capable of working simultaneously on different projects, both independently and as part of a wider team.
