Coopman Search & Selection are delighted to partner with an award-winning and specialist Regulatory Consultancy providing expert advice and products to financial institutions. This is for the role of a Senior Consultant to join the firm's Payments Services practice, working with some highly prestigious PSPs and EMIs.
Key responsibilities of the Senior Consultant:
- Provide support to clients on the legislations and regulatory requirements around UK Payment Services;
- Maintaining knowledge of regulations such as Payment Services Regulations 2017 and the Electronic Money Regulations 2017;
- Reviewing client documents, applying the necessary legal and regulatory frameworks;
- Provide support for FCA applications for various Payments Services firms;
- Answering client questions regarding their regulatory obligations from a technical perspective;
- Occasional responsibility to attend clients' sites to perform Payment Services tasks;
- Become a trusted advisor to clients to maintain relationships;
- Supporting peers within your direct team and sharing best practices.
Experience required of the Senior Consultant:
- Relevant regulatory experience (ideally 2-3 years) in Financial Services, ideally from another consulting firm or an in-house role at a Payments firm or EMI;
- Experience with regulatory licensing applications and the requirements involved in obtaining those;
- Be articulate in communications both written and verbally, with the ability to interpret and analyse data thoroughly;
- Have a strong attention to detail ensuring projects are completed in a timely manner;
- Educated to Degree level and competent with a full suite of Microsoft Office tools;
- Strong ability to work within a team, whilst also having own initiative, with the capability to manage more than one work stream at once.
