Coopman Search and Selection are delighted to partner exclusively with a leading quantitative investment firm focussed on systematic trading strategies in global markets. The role will report in directly into the Operations Manager who is based in London. This role is a newly created role and will play a pivotal role in ensuring the seamless onboarding of portfolio managers (PMs) and their trading strategies within their global organisation. This role requires a blend of operational expertise, project management skills, and an understanding or interest in the trading and hedge fund environment. The role will also have broader responsibilities across middle office. Key Responsibilities: Manage end-to-end onboarding processes for new portfolio managers, including setup of accounts, infrastructure, and connectivity for trading. Coordinate with internal teams, including compliance, legal, IT, risk, and operations, to ensure all onboarding requirements are met. Facilitate the establishment of trading accounts and ensure alignment with counterparty requirements. Oversee data integrations, execution workflows, and performance monitoring setups for newly onboarded teams. Ensure proper documentation and configuration of trading systems and platforms. Develop and maintain detailed onboarding project plans, timelines, and deliverables. Act as the primary point of contact for onboarding-related queries and provide regular updates to stakeholders. Liaise with external brokers, exchanges, and data providers to facilitate smooth onboarding. Maintain strong communication channels with portfolio managers to address specific needs and requirements. Experience Required: 4-7 years of experience in operations, onboarding, or a related role within the hedge fund, asset management, or financial services industry. Proficiency in tools like Excel, SQL, and other relevant financial and operational software. Experience with OMS/EMS systems is a plus Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across diverse teams and regions.
