Coopman Search and Selection are delighted to partner exclusively with a leading quantitative investment firm focussed on systematic trading strategies in global markets. The role will report in directly into the Head of Operations.
This role is a newly created role and you will cover middle office and back-office functions. Day to day you will support critical daily aspects of corporate actions processing, generating beginning-of-day positions, reviewing and actioning reconciliations, resolving breaks, managing open items in the team inbox, and more. This is a vital role that faces portfolio management teams directly as they rely on Operations to have accurate positions ready for each regional morning.
Key Responsibilities:
- Process and manage corporate actions across all product types (equity, bonds, etc.)
- Generate and manage the beginning-of-day positions across all product types (equity, bonds, etc.)
- Monitor and resolve breaks in reconciliations
- Maintain security master, data warehouse and data integrity by reviewing and actioning alerts and emails
- Maintain, review, and add overrides for data quality management alerts
- Collaborate with global team on 24/7 daily handover and open items
- Back up other Operations members as needed
- Facilitate ad hoc requests from PM Teams, Senior Management, Risk, Compliance, Legal, etc.
Experience Required:
- Between 1-3 years of corporate actions or similar operations experience, ideally within a hedge fund or investment bank
- SQL proficiency is a plus
- Ability to follow internal controls and policies
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across diverse teams and regions.
- Ability to adapt and thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
