We are partnered with a rapidly growing, regulated FinTech operating across Banking-as-a-Service, Payments, Foreign Exchange, and Digital Assets, to find an exceptional Chief Operating Officer. What You'll Own:
- Set the operational strategy. Build and execute the roadmap that scales payments, FX, transaction processing, reconciliation, and banking operations
- Lead BaaS & payments delivery. Oversee programme delivery, domestic and international payment rails, and resilience across settlement, safeguarding, and treasury
- Drive regulatory excellence. Ensure operational adherence to FCA requirements, robust controls, and audit readiness as the business grows
- Own financial control & reconciliation. This includes safeguarding client money, strengthen reporting, and partner closely with Finance on governance
- Build and lead a high-performing team. Mentor a growing operations function and instil a culture of accountability and continuous improvement
- Be a trusted voice externally and internally, representing the business with regulators, banking partners, and key stakeholders
What You'll Bring:
- Ideally 10+ years of operational leadership within Financial Services, with a genuinely hands-on track record
- Proven experience in a regulated Banking, EMI, Payments, FX, or BaaS environment
- Strong command of payment operations, transaction processing, settlement, and operational controls
- Solid grasp of FCA regulatory requirements and financial services governance frameworks
- A track record of building and scaling operations inside a high-growth organisation
- Excellent stakeholder management skills, with the credibility to influence at all levels
- Experience supporting EMI licensing or regulatory authorisations would be highly desirable
