Coopman Search and Selection are delighted to partner with an infrastructure and private equity firm searching for a Compliance Manager to support a dynamic, growing compliance team. Reporting to the Head of Compliance, you will play a central role in shaping and delivering robust monitoring programmes, managing regulatory change, and providing strategic compliance advice across the business.
Key Responsibilities:
- Execute the Compliance Monitoring Programme, including testing, reporting, and control recommendations
- Review and enhance Compliance Policies & Procedures
- Monitor and implement regulatory change (UK, EU, US)
- Oversee third-party due diligence processes
- Prepare regulatory filings and applications (FCA, SEC)
- Deliver compliance training and review financial promotions
- Conduct thematic reviews and gap analyses
Key Experience Required:
- A strong academic background is expected (law degree or compliance diploma preferred).
- 4–7+ years of experience in a compliance role, ideally within an AIFM or alternative asset manager
- Strong understanding of the FCA Handbook, AIFMD, MiFID II, and ideally UCITS
- Exposure to ESG regulatory frameworks (e.g. SFDR, SDR, TCFD)
- Familiarity with VCTs, EIS, and other complex fund structures
- Knowledge of SEC regulations and post-trade surveillance desirable
- Independent, detail-oriented, and a great communicator
This is a non-Senior Manager Regime role, with plenty of room to grow and take on strategic projects in a high-performing team.
