Coopman Search and Selection are delighted to partner with a top-tier hedge fund with circa $9 billion AUM that is looking to hire a Compliance Associate. The role reports directly to the Chief Compliance Officer (CCO) and forms part of a small compliance function.
Position Overview
The role supports the compliance program across both core and trade compliance, providing guidance to the business development function and ensuring regulatory requirements are met as the business grows.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor and assess regulatory changes and ensure the business adapts accordingly.
- Implementation of compliance policy and updates as required.
- Assisting the team with the review and approval of marketing presentations, due diligence questionnaires, client reports and fund reports.
- Provide compliance advice to the business development function including jurisdictional marketing rules.
- Coordinate PAD requests.
- Prepare and submit non-financial regulatory filings.
- Coordinate AML/KYC requests from counterparties and investment entities.
- Ensure privacy and data protection rules are adhered to.
- Monitor staff training against regulatory requirements.
- Conduct periodic compliance reviews and audits.
- Stay current with industry best practices and regulations.
- Scope to be involved with applicable global regulation as the business grows.
Experience / Qualifications
- 3-5 years’ experience in compliance within financial services, either on the buyside or sellside.
- Experience and knowledge of AIFMD.
