Coopman are supporting the growth of the Regulatory Consulting division of a well established and highly regarded Consultancy business as they continue to grow their team of experts who support a range of Financial Services firms across Wealth Management, Banking, Payments, Insurance and other regulated sectors.
Key responsibilities of the Regulatory Compliance Associate:
- Supporting a variety of clients on project work, including the drafting of policies and procedures to support their compliance monitoring programmes, designing and delivering compliance related training materials for clients and undertaking file reviews.
- Assisting with regulatory matters such as applications and submissions for authorisations and variations of permissions.
- Consistently researching regulatory developments and topics to further their own knowledge and add value to clients by understanding how they could be impacted.
- Participation and creation on original thought leadership around regulatory issues.
- Delivering work to clients in a timely manner to meet strict deadlines, whilst maintaining the high standards and quality their clients expect.
Ideal experience and competencies required of the Regulatory Compliance Associate:
- Previous regulatory compliance experience within Financial Services from either a Financial Institution, Law Firm, Regulator or another Regulatory Consulting business.
- Educated to Degree level with a professional compliance related qualification (ICA, CISI) desirable.
- Easily motivated and willing to undertake individual research and educational development to further their understanding of regulation in specific sectors of Financial Services.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and workflows at once, with previous project management experience a plus.
