What makes a brilliant HGV Driver?
You don’t need to know everything from day one—we’ll give you the training and support you need. What matters most to us, is that you bring a positive attitude and enjoy making a difference for customers.
You’ll be:
- Safety-focused – you take responsibility for driving safely, protecting other road users and making sure every delivery is completed with care.
- Professional and dependable – you understand that our shops rely on you, so you arrive prepared, follow your schedule and keep colleagues informed of any delays.
- A great ambassador for our business – you’re friendly and helpful when delivering to our shops, building positive relationships with the teams you meet.
- Confident working independently – you’re comfortable managing your route, using your judgement and solving day-to-day challenges while out on the road.
- Organised and thorough – you complete vehicle checks, delivery records and other paperwork accurately, following all legal and company requirements.
- Committed to high standards – you take pride in looking after your vehicle and making sure products arrive safely, securely and in great condition.
- Comfortable with a hands-on role – driving is only part of the job, so you’ll be ready to load, unload and move products safely at each delivery.
- Calm and adaptable – you can respond sensibly to traffic, changing conditions and unexpected situations while keeping safety as your priority.
- A strong team player – although you’ll spend time working independently, you’ll work closely with our transport, bakery and shop teams to keep deliveries running smoothly.
- Qualified– you’ll hold a valid Category C (Class 2) licence, Driver CPC qualification and digital tachograph card.
What’s in it for you
Alongside your salary, you’ll also get lots of other great benefits too, including:
- Colleague discount– which you can share with your family

- Free coffee– it’s our own blend and we think it’s fantastic! Enjoy free coffee whenever you’re on shift.
