Job title: Clinician / Optometrist (outside IR35 contractor)

1 day per week – 8.30am-4.30pm

You’ll conduct contact lens appointments for CooperVision employees while overseeing the provision and supply of lenses. You’ll work closely with the Events Manager to validate prescriptions, coordinate supply across the UK, and support the internal promotion of the scheme.
You’ll act as a contact lens ambassador, responding to employee queries and educating colleagues on contact lenses and CooperVision’s latest innovations.
Based in a state‑of‑the‑art clinical environment, you’ll have access to advanced equipment and will also support customer visits by demonstrating clinical equipment /tools and showcasing best practice in successful contact lens fitting.
Essential Functions & Accountabilities
- Conduct contact lens appointments, including fitting, teaching and aftercare, with clinical excellence and clear communication
- Educate employees on contact lenses, including their benefits and latest innovations
- Demonstrate clinical equipment to visiting customers and support with equipment-related queries
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of contact lens fitting, clinical practice, and clinical equipment
- Maintain awareness of market trends and category developments
- Work closely with the Events Coordinator to manage the clinical environment and support customer demonstrations
Experience
- Credible qualified Optometrist or CLO with at least 3 years of practice experience, including significant contact lens fitting expertise
- Previous experience in clinical education/demonstration role preferred.
- Previous experience managing your own clinical diary and working independently.
- Previous experience fitting and managing contact lens patients, with advanced contact lens fitting preferred
