Financial Accountant – Global Business Services, Finance EMEA at CooperVision. Job title: Financial Accountant, Global Business Services, Finance EMEA. Location: Brunel Way, Fareham (3 days office/ 2 work from home). Working hours: Monday – Friday, 8:30-4:30.

Responsibilities
- Revenue: Work collaboratively with local market finance, ensuring all rebates and customer incentives are appropriately reported in the financial submission.
- Prepare monthly consignment stock financial transactions.
- Responsible for quarterly revenue recognition and cut-off adjustments.
- OpEx: Complete department operating expenses for local markets, including accruals and prepayments.
- Prepare monthly reporting and analysis of spend; lead meetings to review the final monthly position with local market management.
- Reporting: Lead month-end review of financial results with local market Business Controllers to ensure it accurately reflects current month activities.
- Prepare Financial Reporting information for Corporate in line with deadlines, including relevant variance commentary.
- Provide standardized monthly financial packs to Business Controllers.
- Prepare balance sheet reconciliations and support quarterly regional balance sheet reviews for the market.
- General: Ensure financial reporting is in line with US GAAP, internal control framework, and Corporate Policies; work with internal/external Audit to support SOX, location reviews and IPE validation.
About you
We are looking for someone with 1-3 years’ accounting experience, preferably within a large multinational company or Shared Service environment, and experience with integrated ERP systems (e.g., Oracle R12 preferred, SAP).
- Excellence in customer service and ability to build robust internal relationships using strong communication skills
- A high level of computer literacy
- Intermediate knowledge of MS Office including pivot tables and v-lookup in Excel
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
- Self-motivated with a positive attitude and initiative
