Job title: Financial Accountant, Global Business Services, Finance EMEA
Location: Brunel Way, Fareham (3 days in the office / 2 days work from home)
Working hours: Monday – Friday, 8:30-4:30

CooperVision is a global leader in the contact lens industry, dedicated to helping improve the way people see every day. The Financial Accountant, Global Business Services, Finance EMEA works with the market financial reporting and audit teams and partners with market Business Controllers, finance & commercial teams, and wider GBS teams to ensure the integrity, completeness and accuracy of financial reporting.
Responsibilities
- Revenue: Work with local market finance to ensure rebates and customer incentives are reported in financial submissions; prepare monthly consignment stock financial transactions; responsible for quarterly revenue recognition and cut-off adjustments.
 - OpEx: Manage the completion of department operating expenses for local markets, including accruals and prepayments; prepare monthly reporting and analysis of spend; lead meetings with local market management to review the monthly position.
 - Reporting: Lead month-end review of financial results with local market Business Controllers; prepare Financial Reporting information for Corporate by deadlines with relevant variance commentary; provide standardized monthly financial packs to the Business Controller; prepare balance sheet reconciliations and support quarterly regional balance sheet reviews.
 - General: Ensure financial reporting complies with US GAAP, internal control framework and Corporate Policies; collaborate with Internal/External Audit to support SOX, location reviews and IPE validation.
 
About you
- 1-3 years’ accounting experience, preferably within a large multinational company or Shared Service environment
 - Experience with integrated ERP systems (e.g., Oracle R12 preferred, SAP)
 - Excellence in customer service with strong communication skills and the ability to build robust internal relationships
 - High level of computer literacy; intermediate MS Office skills including pivot tables and VLOOKUP
 - Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines; self-motivated with initiative
