The Global Distribution Project Manager leads the end-to-end project management for process improvement initiatives, from planning through to execution.

The initiatives can include the analysis and design or redesign of business processes across multiple functions in distribution operations as well as across the wider organisation.

This role will coordinate the stakeholders and manage a project team to enable cross-functional collaboration.

It will require working closely with the different subject matter experts and other project managers, developing project plans, timelines, and managing project resource allocations.

The role will monitor, track and report on project progress, risks, key performance indicators (KPIs), project outcomes and ensure adherence to project management governance to our CVI quality standards.,

  • Creates and updates project deliverables in support of project objectives.

This includes various forms of plans and records in formats to include Microsoft Project, Excel Spreadsheets, Word Documents and presentations.

  • Facilitate and lead project meetings (and produce related documents such as agendas and minutes) to review and update portfolio, program and project information.
  • Create the usual PM recognised deliverables including RACI's, PID', 4up's, resource plans, schedules, risk and issue logs and scope documents,
  • Effectively applies PM Tools and Methods with Sponsors, Resource Managers, and other Stakeholders, and counsels them on appropriate use and application.
  • Works closely with Departmental Managers on related projects or programs on dependencies such as managing issues and risks, updating schedules and predecessors/successors, communication planning, and creating other plans and records.
  • Works collaboratively in a fast paced, agile environment where close teamwork and partnering are essential.

Builds positive, productive working relationships across the organisation.

  • Addresses project challenges effectively, evaluating alternatives, proposing and implementing solutions, and taking corrective action as necessary.
  • Proactively advocate PMO Compliance/Methodology Governance, Decision Making and Best Practice
  • Ensures project objectives delivery on time and to agreed cost

We are looking for someone with

  • A proven record of delivering successful projects in operational functions such as within the domestic and international supply chains.
  • Financial understanding; able to define business cases, including return on investment.
  • Experience of continuous improvement and the related metrics.
  • Strong communication skills (English) in both verbal and written / presentation formats, for both informal and formal purposes, and experience working with audiences from technical implementation staff to executive leaders.
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail and the ability to work under pressure to balance competing priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to get the best out of cross-functional teams where subject matter expertise is critical to a project.
  • Ability to effectively manage time, prioritize work, multi-task across many assignments and delegate in a high-pressure environment.
  • An understanding of lean as well as continuous improvement tools, and the ability to communicate and support the implementation of these tools amongst our distribution team is desirable.

Experience & Education: Required

  • Significant project management practitioner experience in a distribution environment (5+ years).
  • Able to think strategically and view the business from a general management standpoint.
  • Experience with cultural, organisational and business process change efforts.
  • Experience in writing technical standards and work instructions.

Preferred

  • Experience in healthcare distribution and related disciplines such as FDA, GDP and HIIPA compliance is preferred
  • A first level degree in a supporting subject would be an advantage.
  • A mathematics qualification that encompasses data analytics techniques.
  • Formal project management certification, PRINCE2, PMI or equivalent.
