Job summary – What to expect:

  • As the Packaging Operator L3 of our Packaging Department, you will be working as a Trainer and an Operator.
  • You will be trained on 2 or more processes and work as designated Trainers for the area.
  • Monitoring compliance and cooperation with Training Coordinator.
  • Pick and pack contact lenses.
  • Meet production performance targets.
  • Meet quality standards.
  • Operate machinery safely.
  • Shipping customer orders.
  • Recording data.
  • Training Operators in daily tasks.

About you:

We are looking for someone who has experience working in the packaging department with a keen interest to move into a Trainer role.

Experience & Education:

  • PC literate.
  • Experience with Marchesini 5 and 6, Strip 7 and Vitality machines.
  • Good understanding of manual handling techniques.
  • Ability to read, understand and work to SOPs.
  • Multi-skilled Operator.
  • Team player.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Punctual.
  • Good level of spoken English.
  • Prioritisation skills.

Work Environment:

  • Large open plan warehouse.
  • High level of noise.
  • PPE is required.
  • Working at heights is required.
  • Requirement to lift heavy boxes.
  • Periods of prolonged standing.
