Scope
As a Customer Account Specialist, you will be responsible for working with key accounts from a Supply Chain perspective. You will liaise directly with your assigned customers, as well as interact with internal CooperVision functions such as Planning, Commercial, Marketing, Operations, Distribution and Customer Service.
Job Summary
This role is responsible for the management and delivery of solutions and services to assigned Key Customer Accounts, including communication and coordination with internal teams including commercial, operations and supply chain. The postholder is responsible for regular customer reviews and providing KPI’s, performance reporting and business analysis to the customer. It also identifies constraints and issues affecting performance and ensures smooth implementation of change (new products, supersessions, discontinuations) without disruption to service levels of the customer.
Essential Functions & Accountabilities
- Communicate and coordinate between Supply Chain, the business, and the customer for your Key Customer Accounts.
- Build strong relationships internally with cross-functional teams, and outside the business, including your key customers.
- Work on behalf of the customer within CooperVision to ensure we deliver excellent levels of service and support your key customers.
- Be responsible for providing and analysing the service and performance reporting for your key customers.
- Manage regular customer review meetings and ensure we are providing regular feedback on performance, KPI’s and issues.
- Work closely with the supply chain team to maximise availability and service for the range of products for your key customers.
- Work closely with the NPI and supply chain team to manage change, new products, supersessions, and discontinuations without disruption to the customer or service levels.
- Ensure a joined-up CooperVision approach with strong and regular communication and coordination with the sales, marketing, commercial, and customer services teams.
- Work within cross-functional teams to help deliver complex change in support of your key customers\\\’ targets and objectives.
- Reports directly to the Key Account Team Leader; no direct reports.
Travel
- Commercial travel requirements of up to 10% per annum (5 weeks).
Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Deep understanding of Supply Chain processes & methods, and proven ability to successfully deploy activities.
- Deep understanding of customer service and key account management priorities and solutions.
- Highly focused and driven, able to persevere and overcome obstacles.
- Able to use initiative and make decisions in a fast-moving environment.
- Strong communication skills (written and verbal).
- Strong administration and office management skills.
- Proven project and change management skills.
- Highly advanced skills in the use of Excel.
- Intermediate skills in Word and PowerPoint.
Experience
- Minimum 3 years of medical device industry experience is desirable.
- Minimum of 3 years Customer Service / Key Account Management.
- Minimum 3 years Supply Chain and Demand Planning.
Education
- Minimum: degree level
- Minimum: APICS qualifications CPIM
- APICS CSCP qualification, or training towards, preferred.
