Job summary – What to expect:

As a Warehouse Operator in our UK manufacturing team, you will maintain the day-to-day operation of the Raw Materials Warehouse functions across both Hamble and Chandler’s Ford sites, ensuring the receiving, storage maintenance and issue of Inventory is in accordance with all relevant standard operating procedures (SOPs) and Work Instructions (WIs).

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Competent use of Vehicles, Fork-lift Trucks (FLTs) and other devices for movement of goods.
  • Responding to and solving problems as necessary to ensure optimum operational workflow is maintained, making the Team Leader aware of any work-related issues that could affect the warehouse team.
  • Compliance with Health & Safety at Work Act and promote good EHS and GMP practice within the Shift Team to ensure a safe working environment for all employees and visitors to the area.
  • Accurately receiving, storing away and maintaining Materials in good order in the Raw Materials Warehouses.
  • Providing a secure point of delivery for courier drop-offs, including Engineering Spares and parcels for the wider UKM business.
  • Receiving and supervising off-loading of Alcohol tankers into bulk storage at Hamble and Speedwell sites.
  • Driving company vehicles on and between CV UKM sites and off-site storage facilities to make all necessary deliveries and collections fulfilling the business requirements for materials flow.
  • Participating in all Inventory Cycle Counting activities between all Warehouses on any of the UKM sites.
  • Operating computer-based systems including Oracle ERP, CVM SAMM, ServiceNow, Printers, Agile and MS Office.

About you:

We are looking for someone with:

  • Experience and understanding of ERP systems for inventory.
  • Forklift license preferred (but not essential).
  • Full, preferably clean driving license.
  • Prior warehouse experience.
  • Good working knowledge of Warehouse procedures and environment, computer-based inventory systems and Microsoft office.
  • Materials Handling Equipment License; forklift trucks, pallet stacker and associated attachments.
  • Ability to work with others as part of a team and self-motivated to work as an individual.
  • Problem-solving skills, proactivity and a service-driven attitude.

Post-holder’s working environment will be a combination of indoor and outdoor working within the Warehouse areas, including Cold Stores, yards and drop off / collection points around the Hamble and Chandler’s Ford sites. Driving company delivery vehicles and operation of manual handling equipment such as FLTs with safe and competent operating technique is essential. Designated safety PPE must be worn.

Experience:

  • Prior warehouse experience and good knowledge of warehouse processes.
  • Inventory management – stock count / stock rotation.
  • Good communication skills, both written and verbal.

Education:

Good standard of English and Maths.
