Job summary – What to expect: The Business Systems Analyst (BSA) provides systems support for resupply ordering and inventory replenishment between CooperVision manufacturing, packaging and distribution locations. This role will act as a liaison between the Global Supply Chain and Information Services teams, ensuring that our IT systems and business processes support the Global Supply Chain’s needs to move product across the supply chain and fulfil customer orders on-time. BSA responsibilities include application configuration and data integration support for the Global Demand and Supply Planning application (o9 Solutions), as well as support of the Purchase Order / Sales Order (PO/SO) interfaces between the various Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems and Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) in the CooperVision network.

Responsibilities include:

  • Creates and communicates process flow diagrams, documenting functional requirements, system compliance requirements, and interface specifications.
  • Performs audits of technical designs proposed by the IS application development teams.
  • Executes tests of newly-developed code to ensure alignment to operational requirements.
  • Supports code deployments and responds to application user incidents during code deployment hypercare.
  • Demonstrates data analysis skills (query formation and database analysis) to devise actions to resolve issues and support CooperVision customer service.
  • Demonstrate communication fluency with users and find and resolve the root cause of problems. Develop and implement mitigation actions to prevent similar issues from happening in the future.
  • Consider implications of the application of technology to the business environment. Define functional and system requirements, and create proper documentation of solutions and configuration specifications.
  • Lead requirements analysis/documentation, design documentation, business process analysis/documentation, configuration, testing strategy, systems administration, and maintenance.
  • Develop effective test scenarios, scripts, and use cases with consideration for cross-functional and process stream impact, in support of the IS Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) process.
  • Analyze test results to identify and resolve defects, bugs, errors, configuration irregularities, and interoperability flaws.
  • Oversee individual projects and/or tasks and phases of larger projects. Responsible for coordinating activities of teams, schedules and resources for assigned tasks or projects. Develop, publish, and coordinate implementation activities for software releases.
  • Lead informational sessions and training to ensure that end users are equipped with the understanding of application function.

About you: We are looking for someone with:

  • SQL/query skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, with ability to handle and analyze large datasets in Microsoft Excel and/or Microsoft SQL Server Management Studio.
  • Excellent written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills; ability to effectively translate between functional (business) and technical (IT) teams.
  • Highly self-motivated, self-directed, and attentive to detail.

Experience & Education:

Required:

  • Experience with global supply chain planning applications such as Logility Voyager, o9 Solutions, or similar, as an application user or through systems support responsibility.
  • Understanding of core supply chain processes (Sales & Operations Planning, Distribution and Operations Planning, Long-Range Strategic Planning) and how data from IT systems support those processes.
  • Bachelor of Science degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Information Technology or Computer Science or equivalent experience is required.

Preferred:

  • Functional knowledge of Oracle EBS and Baan Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software applications a plus.
  • Experience with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) such as JDA/Blue Yonder and how data interfaces are designed/managed between a WMS and ERP systems considered a plus.
  • Functional knowledge of TIBCO middleware software a plus.
  • APICS / ASCM (Association for Supply Chain Management) Certification preferred.
