Coopers Fire are seeking a CAD Technician as we take on interesting large-scale projects. Working on technically complex and challenging projects within the building industry, CAD Technician will be involved in project technical drafting as well as collaboration with relevant team.
Responsibilities
- Create high-quality technical drawings of Fire / Smoke Curtains (plans, sections & details) based on drawings supplied by client and information supplied by survey and make modifications to existing drawings
- Create schematic diagrams required for Fire / Smoke Curtain project
- Provide accurate, detailed and to scale drawings
- Provide drawing register and schedule that aligns with the project requirements
- Liaise with architects, engineers, designers, Project Managers and other relevant individuals (via email or Teams meeting) to understand the design requirements
- Ensure drawings are compliant with industry standards and protocols
- Able to explore, upload and download files to & from collaborative sites/CDE (Asite, V4P, Aconex, etc.)
- Conduct quality checks on completed drawings to identify any errors or discrepancies
- Communicate effectively with team Lead, Project Managers or client to ensure project deadlines are met
Skills and Experience
- Extensive knowledge in utilising AutoCAD software
- Experience with different collaborative sites (Asite, V4P, Aconex etc.)
- Able to read Architectural / Construction drawings
- Able to read survey data
- Able to produce Construction drawings
- Knowledge in building Construction materials
- Highly detail-oriented / Attention to detail
