We are currently working exclusively with a successful specialist banking business in Cardiff. Reporting to the Head of IT, the role of IT Technical & Operations Manager is responsible for the secure, stable and efficient undertaking of the bank's technology operations. The responsibilities will include:
- The workplace platform
- Core systems
- Cyber security trolling
- The controlled adoption of approved AI-enabled technologies
Further responsibilities include:
- Own and administer MS365 environment including Exchange Online, SharePoint, Teams, OneDrive and Azure AD
- Maintain identity governance controls including MFA, condition access & access reviews
- Oversee configuration, user access management and integration of business systems
- Coordinate with platform providers, vendors and managed service partners to implement updates & changes
- Support the operation and configuration of security tooling including MS Defender, DMP & monitoring platforms
- Support the controlled adoption of MS Copilot, Copilot Studio and other AI enabled tools
- Act as the senior escalation point for complex technical queries and issues

The Person:
- 5 years experience in IT infrastructure, systems administration and/or operational IT roles
- Strong hands-on experience administering MS 365 & Azure Active Directory environments
- Experienced in managing/integrating business systems and enterprise applications
- Good understanding of cyber security including experience with MS Defender technologies
- Ideally experienced in working within regulated or security sensitive environments
- Experience in supporting the safe adoption and governance of AI-enabled workplace tools
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
Salary: £60k - £70k plus bonus, health, pension & 30 days holiday.
