What will you be doing? We are looking for a Manufacturing Trainer working Full Time on Green shift to be based in Chandlers Ford - Warrior Close. In this role, you will be responsible for delivering manufacturing training in accordance with the Quality Management System (QMS) to maintain compliance and ensure the business is audit ready. You will be responsible for Production Operator and Technical Operator Certification and Re-certification training. The key objective of this role will be providing training, tests, Certifications and Re-certifications to manufacturing personnel whilst motivating and developing team members through training.
- Identifying training and re-training needs to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements is understood by all team members to promote an effective, productive, and highly skilled workforce.
- Generate and agree training plans with the Shift or Team Leader.
- Maintain employee training plans to align with business unit objectives.
- Responsible for Health and Safety awareness and compliance.
- Participate in process improvement projects and drive the change delivering training and educating manufacturing employees.
- Deliver technical training to ensure employees are capable and competent with new technologies and process improvements.
- Provide Certification, Re-certification training, guidance, and support to the manufacturing team.
- Support development of Classmarker testing.
- Administering and reviewing Classmarker test scores.
- Monitor and assess the trainees and provide feedback to the leadership team.
- Acting as a point of contact between the Shift Leader, Team Leader, Training Team Leader and Senior Training Leader.
- Supporting the leadership team when development needs are identified: e.g. training, explanation of criteria and re-training.
- Support individual’s development and capability requirements as identified by the DOVE program.
- Administering and updating training records on Agile and the CVA UK Training system.
- Maintain a consistent level of training and effective use of training materials when delivering training.
- Maintaining the Electronic Training Records (ETR) to ensure the business is audit ready.
- Develop and maintain training materials used to aid training delivery.
- Review training documentation to ensure procedures align with the manufacturing process.
- Support documentation creation for the introduction of new technologies.
- Maintain training compliance metrics as required by the Training Team Leader, Training Administrator or Senior Training Leader.
- Effective use of the Agile system to reference the latest document revision to maintain training compliance.
- Work closely with the training team across all shifts to ensure all tasks in which we train are performed the same way across all areas of the business to ensure a high level of consistency.
- Other manufacturing support tasks as required to enable the effective operation of the business unit.
Qualifications: What are we looking for? We would like you to have the following experience:
- Proven technical skill, most likely gained in a Technical Operator role.
- Manufacturing environment preferably with some previous training experience.
- Numerical, verbal and literacy skills.
- IT Literate with practical understanding and knowledge of Microsoft applications.
- Knowledge of continuous improvement and a practical approach to problem solving.
- Effective communication skills and the ability to convey information accurately and consistently.
- The ability to plan and to be able to adjust a plan at short notice to align with business needs.
- A good knowledge of Health & Safety procedures.
