Job summary – What to expect: This Fixed Term Contract is designed for students completing the second year of their undergraduate degree and undertaking a 12-month placement as part of their programme. The role supports the GPS Data Insights team and wider HR function by delivering recurring and ad hoc reports, assisting with reporting request intake and triage, and identifying opportunities to automate standard outputs. Working with HR stakeholders across business units and global locations, the role helps develop and maintain divisional, regional, and departmental reporting from multiple data sources, ensuring data accuracy, quality, and alignment with business needs while building knowledge of core HCM data and HR reporting standards.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Leverages multiple technology platforms, reporting and analytic tools to create divisional, regional, and/or department HR reports and analytics.
- Supports the collection, organization, and analysis of data directly from HCM, global HR dashboards and other external data sources (e.g. Gallup, McKinsey, Gartner etc.) when appropriate.
- Supports the development of presentations using a variety of data visualization tools.
- Responsible for the regular production and distribution of standard and/or simple/routine reports.
- Contributes to the organizational reporting & analytics continuous improvement strategy.
- Leverages intermediate level expertise across a variety of technology formats (Excel, Tableau, Oracle, etc.) to generate data downloads and query reporting.
- Develops a strong familiarity with all the reports and applications in the assigned areas of focus (e.g., Talent Acquisition, Core HR etc.).
Experience & Education:
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy for data mining and reports.
- Understanding of how data and analytics can be used to support HR needs.
- Strong data mining and data analytics capabilities using a variety of reporting tools & technology (e.g. Excel, Tableau, PowerBI, VBA etc.).
- Solution-oriented, creative, and high level of integrity required.
- Strong organisational skills, ability to multi-task, and commitment to timely follow-up.
- Able to communicate professionally across a wide variety of employee levels and locations.
- Experience working with management-level stakeholders, HRBPs, and across multiple cultures & countries is required.
- Able to manage confidential and sensitive information in a professional manner.
- General awareness of HR processes as well as data governance and regulations, such as GDPR.
- Demonstrated interest in emerging reporting and analytics tools & technology.
- Seeking Industrial placement year as part of their undergraduate degree.
- Demonstrated success balancing multiple priorities.
- Currently undertaking an undergraduate degree in Business Analytics / Data Analytics or a closely related Business, HR or Finance degree, and plan on pursuing a career in a related field.
- Certification(s) in related software or data science preferred.
