Job summary – What to expect:

We are looking for an experienced optometrist or contact lens optician to join us. This role will be part of the Specialty team, focusing on Specialty Contact Lens prescribing and fitting.

In this role, you will partner CooperVision’s key customers and positively influence the position of No7 contact lenses and Orthokeratology, promoting uptake and driving the category and share growth according to market opportunities. You will represent and elevate the profile of No7 contact lenses through work with ECP’s (eye care professionals), trade associations, academic institutes and customer groups.

In addition, this role supports the development and execution of commercial and clinical strategies aligned to No7 contact lenses and the wider CooperVision group.

Part of the responsibilities include support and training to other members of the professional and commercial team, plus accountability of managing key customer group relationships such as NHS hospitals. You will be required to travel within the South of the UK and occasionally, travel internationally. (50% of the time).

About you:

  • Design and develop clinical presentations and programs for our customers to improve the clinical knowledge of No7 contact lenses products and fitting capability of No7 contact lenses products.
  • Support the delivery and execution of commercially viable clinical strategies and tactics.
  • Help customers with technical queries and fitting problems.
  • Seek opportunities to increase customer satisfaction that strengthen and enrich client relationships.
  • Support marketing in the creation and delivery of materials to drive engagement with Specialty and Orthokeratology products.
  • Support and follow the compliance processes.
  • Deliver lectures and/or workshops at required venues to national or international audiences.
  • Practical hands-on training on No7 contact lenses products at educational events and in customer clinics.
  • Manage specialist accounts. This is to include supporting these customers with sales queries, using sales data to identify opportunities and developing new account relationships.
  • Accelerate Orthokeratology as a solution for myopia management.

Education and Experience

  • Must have experience of Scleral and Orthokeratology lens fitting
  • Experience within a commercial environment.
  • Able to build relationships well and have credible clinical ability.
  • Competent in presenting including creation of presentations.
  • Knowledge of applicable laws and regulations.
  • Intermediate skill in the use of Excel, Word and PowerPoint (Advanced preferred).
  • Ability to read and understand technical and clinical information at an advanced level.
  • Minimum of 5 years contact lens fitting experience including Scleral and Orthokeratology contact lenses.
  • GOC registered Optometrist or Contact lens optician with relevant professional qualifications.
