The predicted salary is between 35000 - 45000 £ per year.
Department: Research thereby maximising equipment availability, performance and product quality. You’ll also be involved in the installation and qualification of new equipment and the modification and continuous improvement of existing equipment to meet the needs of new products and processes. You’ll provide emergency support for utilities recognising and complying with Safe Working Practice.
Key Responsibilities:
- Working knowledge of pneumatic, hydraulic and electronic control systems including PLC diagnosis.
- Ability to problem solve.
- Ability to initiate equipment design changes in response to reliability or process issues.
- Possess strong analytical skills.
- Proven flexibility and a strong team player.
- Good prioritisation and communication skills.
- Ability to operate workshop machine tools.
- Familiarity with Health and Safety best practices and use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
Experience/Education:
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a similar support role.
- An apprenticeship in Mechanical; Electrical/Electronic engineering is an essential requirement for the role.
- ONC/HNC or similar in Mechanical or Electrical/Electronic Engineering.
- Demonstrable process support experience within a high-speed manufacturing environment.
- Proven experience in all aspects of engineering principles and techniques.
- Involvement in Continuous Improvement projects/activities.
- Experience in equipment design and modifications.
