What to expect:
As Finance Assistant, you’ll assist within the commercial finance operation with customer credit control processing, management accounts information and reporting requirements.
Essential Functions & Accountabilities:
- Ensuring that all company policies and procedures are adhered to including but not limited to, Approval Matrix, The Cooper Companies and/or CooperVision accounting or operational policies.
- Responsible for the full scope of Accounts Receivable from customer master data maintenance, chase debtors, management on stop customers and Ageing reporting according to CooperVision's policies & working instructions.
- To assist with posting cash book transactions to customer accounts and bank account reconciliation.
- Collecting data for sales reporting purposes.
- To assist with sales reporting & pricing analysis.
- To assist with budgets and forecasts.
- To provide commercial finance analytical support for wider team.
- To assist with month end activities.
- To perform any other duties as required (Duties may also be modified over time).

About you:
You’ll have or be working towards being AAT qualified, with proven experience of being within a Finance related role. You’ll be a confident user of Microsoft Excel, have the ability to work independently and not be put off when some processes are more manual than others. You’ll enjoy process improvement, be an excellent communicator and have strong attention to detail. Having knowledge or experience of working with internal controls/SOX will be advantageous to this role.
