WORKING HOURS: Blue Shift (7am to 7pm, 4 on 4 off)

What will you be doing:

We have an exciting internal opportunity for a Quality Assurance Assessor to join our Quality Assurance Team. This is a great role where you will be developing and implementing quality assurance policies, conducting tests and inspections, identifying production, process, or product issues, and presenting solutions.

You will work as part of the team to monitor all areas of the Company's Quality System to ensure employees are working according to documented procedures and requirements as well as continuous improvement and implementation of existing or new procedures, processes or systems.

Essential responsibilities:

  • Performance of Process Audits, working mainly in a packaging and distribution environment on a continuous rolling basis checking:
    • Compliance to documented procedures / requirements
    • Documentation is relevant and correct
    • Changes or deviations to products, processes or procedures are not made without authorisation
    • Maintaining GMP awareness within Delta Park & Mount Park and ensuring compliance to documented procedures
  • Undertake assessments in conjunction with the QA Coordinator/Team Leader to develop an understanding of critical activities and identify potential problem areas within Delta Park & Mount Park
  • Record QA findings / observations, discuss and make recommendations to appropriate personnel / QA management
  • Release of product and final product acceptance
  • Perform trend analysis using Agile and different data sets
  • Customer complaint handling and root cause analysis
  • Assist in the validation of new products, processes and components
  • Be responsible for quality issues with cross functional coordination requirements
  • Lead or participate in multi-discipline teams engaged in quality projects and / or investigations
  • Dealing with complex shipment report within the Lot Blocking Process in the eQMS and preparing data for QA Management

What are we looking for?

We would ideally like you to have the following:

  • One years quality assurance experience and/or two years’ experience of working in the contact lens industry (manufacturing or distribution centre)
  • An understanding of Quality Assurance
  • Ability to work alone or as part of a team
  • Experience of using an eQMS
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office packages (Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Visio, Outlook)
  • Report writing
  • Be flexible and have own transport as occasional travel to our Southampton Mount Park site will be required
  • Full UK driving license is desirable
