Job Description
Life as a Software Engineer is all about creating products using the latest tech. Reporting into a Tech Leader, you’ll learn how to build and test enterprise grade, resilient software.
You’ll be part of our Experian Data Quality (EDQ) team, working on our Aperture product suite. Our technology stretches across several areas, from proprietary low-level database components processing billions of data rows, through to richly interactive interfaces incorporating machine learning techniques to deliver the latest user experiences.
You can expect to experiment in new technologies, dabble in cloud computing platforms and evolve applications utilising languages such as Java, TypeScript, HTML and CSS amongst others.
Whilst coding is an important part of being a Software Engineer, you’ll also brainstorm and develop solutions, attend planning sessions and work with a variety of people across teams. You may have to translate technical work to non-technical colleagues.
Our Graduate roles are permanent opportunities, and you’ll also take part in our 2-year structured Early Careers Development Programme when you join us which is packed with workshops, short courses & online material designed to help kick-start your career.
Qualifications
To be eligible to join this Graduate Programme, you’ll need:
- A minimum 2:2-degree classification preferably in a STEM field (e.g. Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics). If you don’t have a degree in those fields but can demonstrate an applied interest in technology, then we’d still love to hear from you.
- To have graduated within the last three years (2023, 2024 or 2025 graduates)
- Basic proficiency of coding in any language is desirable (eg. Python, C#, Java)
- Legal right to work in the UK from the start of the graduate programme.
Whilst we have adopted a hybrid way of working, you’ll work onsite at the London office at least weekly.

For this role, we aim to hold online Assessment Centres W/C 17th March (*Subject to change).
