Our three-day Insight Event will help you understand the marketplace, our position in it, and help you decide if an Internship in our Commercial team is for you. You’ll get to ask questions, interact with our business leaders and the Early Careers team, and see our innovation and collaboration in action.

What you’ll be getting up to during the three-day insight event

  • Discover what it’s like working in our Commercial teams by getting a taste for identifying new market opportunities, learn to develop a sense of which products go to market and learn about pricing strategies.
  • Connect with people working at Sky, from graduates to senior managers and develop your network. Hear about their experiences and how they went from university to working life.
  • Participate in skills sessions crafted to help you with your job application, online assessments, and the future of our industry.

What we’re looking for:

The one essential requirement is that you’re studying for an undergraduate degree in any subject, and in your first year.

  • A highly numerate and analytical problem solver
  • A great verbal and written communicator
  • Detail focused
  • People-oriented with high organisation skills
  • Proactive and keen to drive improvement
  • A problem solver, with skills to overcome obstacles

Eligibility:

  • We’re looking for first-year undergraduate students or those in their second year of a 4-year course.
  • You don’t need a specific degree, but you’re interested in exploring the world of Commercial Strategy and Planning through our Commercial Internship.
  • We welcome applications from all and, in line with our public commitment to do more to support racial equality, we particularly encourage applicants from a Black heritage background for this three-day insight event.
  • To be eligible and secure a role on our 2026 Commercial internship programme, you are required to have the appropriate right to work in the UK by the start date of the programme.

About our Commercial Summer Internship programme – starting July 2026

The Commercial Summer Internship programme is an eight-week opportunity for students who want to get involved in Commercial Strategy and Planning. It is based in Osterley, West London, and offers a chance to join our Graduate Programme in 2027. The internship will give you an opportunity to assess market and competitors trends across all of our key products, conduct data analysis to influence business planning and decision making and collaborate with cross-functional teams such as Propositions, Marketing and Finance to propel commercial initiatives forward.

What’s the next step?

Following the Insight Event, you will be invited to complete our immersive digital assessments. If you are successful following the completion of these, you will be invited to an Assessment Centre for the Commercial Internship starting in 2026.

What else do you need to know?

For our Insight Events, you’ll not be required to take an assessment, and the Early Careers team will review any travel expenses that are covered before the event.

If there are high volumes of applications, we may close early. The earliest date we’ll close applications is 3rd March 2025 .
