What You\’ll Do:

  • Collaborate & Create:Work closely with our customers through meetings and brainstorming sessions to design fluid systems that meet their needs. Your ideas will help us develop solutions for cooling, fuel, brake, and breather pipes, as well as cutting-edge cooling pump and valve technologies.
  • Analyze & Innovate:Dive into customer design data and collaborate with our talented teams using CAD and CAE tools. You\’ll conduct design reviews and feasibility studies, ensuring our products are top-notch and ready for launch.
  • Lead & Deliver:Take charge of program engineering tasks, ensuring that our new products are launched on time and meet all technical requirements. Your leadership will be key to our success!
  • Material Matters:Work with our internal Materials Group to select the best materials for our products, ensuring quality and performance.
  • Design for Success:Partner with our manufacturing teams to create designs that are easy to produce, providing technical support to ensure everything runs smoothly.
  • Test & Validate:Coordinate with laboratory engineers to conduct performance testing, ensuring our components meet customer expectations.
  • Stay Ahead of Trends:Keep an eye on the latest automotive market trends and collaborate with our Advanced Engineering group to initiate new product developments.
  • Support Sales:Use your technical expertise to assist our sales team during customer presentations.
  • Cost Estimation:Help us estimate costs to keep our projects on budget.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Education:A bachelor’s or master’s degree in engineering.
  • Skills:
    • Strong problem-solving abilities.
    • A proactive approach to tasks and a focus on achieving objectives.
    • Language proficiency: Fluent in English and German; knowledge of French, Czech, or Chinese is a plus.

Working Conditions:

  • Office-based at Cooper Standard Mannheim.
  • Expect some travel for projects, typically every 6 weeks, both within Europe and internationally.
  • Hybrid work 1-2 days from home)
