About the role... This isn't a role for someone who wants to maintain the status quo. We're looking for a London based Business Development Director to support our Wealth business and to take ownership across the South and help shape the next chapter of our success. You'll combine strategic thinking with hands-on business development, creating opportunities, building influential networks and turning ambition into results. You'll be at the centre of our wealth growth strategy, working alongside Partners, Relationship Managers and marketing teams to raise our profile, strengthen our referral network and bring new clients into the business. This is a role with real influence, real accountability and real opportunity.

What you can expect:

  • Lead the financial planning business development strategy across London & the South, working with central marketing, Relationship Managers and Partners to deliver aligned campaigns, events and regional growth initiatives.
  • Build and execute regional growth plans, using data and market insights to identify opportunities, deliver measurable results and support ambitious commercial targets.
  • Develop strong relationships with Partners, professional introducers, centres of influence, high-net-worth individuals and referral partners.
  • Become a key voice for Wealth across the wider Cooper Parry business, helping to unlock opportunities and strengthen collaboration, embedding CPW within regional growth plans.
  • Represent Cooper Parry Wealth in the market, growing your financial planning network and creating opportunities through events, introductions and strategic partnerships.
  • Work closely with senior stakeholders to convert opportunities into long-term client relationships.
  • Use market insight, commercial awareness and data-driven thinking to help shape regional strategy and performance.

This role comes with high expectations. You'll be trusted to drive growth in a key region and deliver against ambitious targets. But if you're motivated by building something meaningful, creating opportunities and making a visible impact, you'll find plenty to get excited about here.

About you... You're someone who can walk into a room, start a conversation and leave with a new opportunity. You know that successful business development is about more than hitting targets. It's about building trust, understanding people and spotting potential before anyone else does. You're commercially minded, naturally curious and energised by growth. You don't sit back and wait for opportunities to come to you. You create them. And when you commit to something, you see it through.

You'll bring:

  • A strong track record in business development within the Wealth Management / Financial Planning industry, with a history of delivering and exceeding growth targets.
  • The ability to build credible, lasting relationships with senior stakeholders, Partners and decision-makers.
  • Commercial instinct and the confidence to identify opportunities, challenge thinking and influence outcomes.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to engage, persuade and inspire a range of audiences.
  • Experience developing and executing successful regional growth strategies.
  • A self-starting mindset, strong organisation skills and the ability to thrive in a fast-moving environment.

Most importantly, you'll be excited by the chance to join a business that's growing fast, challenging convention and creating opportunities for people who want to make their mark. At Cooper Parry, we don't expect perfection. We look for people who are brave enough to challenge themselves, curious enough to keep learning and collaborative enough to bring others with them.
