We’re Cooper Parry’s CP Innovation team – a close-knit group of 40 specialists from diverse backgrounds like engineering, biotech, chemistry, IT, and even astrophysics.We help clients unlock value through R&D tax incentives and Patent Box relief, working alongside grant providers and patent attorneys.

About you…

As aTrainee Tax Innovation Consultant, you’ll dive into real projects from day one, with flexibility to work from our Castle Donnington or Birmingham hubs.

This is more than just a job – it’s a launchpad. You’ll:

  • Support R&D claims and attend client workshops
  • Draft technical project descriptions and reports
  • Perform costing calculations and contribute to team initiatives

You’ll be supported every step of the way – by peers, mentors, and even our Partners. We’ll give you structure, but also the freedom to grow at your own pace.

We’re looking for someone with:

  • A degree in IT, Computer Science, or Technology
  • A process-driven, analytical mindset
  • 3 A-levels (BBC or above, including a numerical or business subject)
