About the role... At Cooper Parry, we do things differently. Our Service Charge team is no exception. We’re looking for an experienced Service Charge Manager to take ownership of a varied commercial client portfolio while playing a key role in shaping how our service charge offering continues to grow and evolve. This is a hands‑on role that blends technical service charge expertise with client leadership, financial oversight, and the day‑to‑day management of a high‑performing team. If you enjoy being close to clients, thrive on responsibility, and want genuine influence over delivery, systems and people, this one’s for you.

You’ll be:

  • Owning a commercial service charge portfolio, acting as the main client contact and ensuring delivery in line with RICS and industry standards
  • Reviewing higher‑risk service charge accounts, providing technical oversight and guidance where it matters most
  • Leading fees, billing and revenue management, including forecasting, WIP review and month‑end processes
  • Supporting the management and development of the service charge team, setting priorities, overseeing resourcing
  • Improving systems, processes and growth within the team

The role will be based in our Birmingham hub, with a requirement to attend the office at least once a week. The role will also be designed to help you grow and develop through your career journey. With access to a wide range of knowledge to help push yourself further – from Managers to Partners, the team are always happy to support you.

About you... At Cooper Parry, we’re in it together. All we ask of our people is that they play all in. You’ll continuously strive to keep learning – whether you’re a trainee or a Partner – and you’ll be brave, stepping out of your comfort zone to tackle new challenges. Above all, be nice. A simple notion, but an irreplaceable part of what makes CP, CP. In addition to those core values, we’re looking for a Service Charge Manager who can demonstrate the following:

  • Strong background in service charge accounting, ideally across both commercial and residential portfolios
  • Excellent client relationship and stakeholder management skills
  • Experience in managing and developing staff members within a fast‑paced environment
  • Confident in financial oversight, forecasting and billing processes
  • Proficient with workflow and finance systems
  • Highly organised, proactive, and comfortable working under pressure to meet multiple deadlines

What’s in it for you? Our people are the beating heart of our culture. We know that if you love working here, and you’re given the trust and autonomy to work in a way that best suits you, you’ll produce amazing results. That’s why we offer things like:

  • A flexible approach to work - balancing working from home, in office or with clients
  • A generous holiday entitlement
  • An enhanced parental leave policy
  • An enhanced pension scheme
  • No dress code – just “wear something!”
  • A multi-award-winning wellbeing offering to support your physical, mental, spiritual, and financial health
  • Volunteering opportunities to work closer with local communities and charities
  • Cooper Parry social/sports clubs

Feeling supported and welcomed is such a big part of bringing your whole self to work. As an equal opportunities employer, we’ll work with you to ensure you have everything you need to develop your skills and achieve your best.
