The Opportunity
- Reporting to the Head of Finance, this key role will manage the overall financial activities of the Group, including reporting, forecasting, and financial controls.
- Develop the Group's financial strategy in conjunction with shareholders to achieve the strategic objectives of the business.
- Work closely with project joint venture partners to develop efficient financial processes within JV companies and maximise project value.
- Lead financial reporting, ensuring accurate and timely month end, quarter end and year end results with clear analysis and commentary.
- Maintain good relationships with JV partners and ensure they receive timely financial information from projects.
- Manage UK and international tax advisors and ensure tax compliance of group.
- Lead and co-ordinate the audit process for all entities, acting as the primary point of contact for auditors and ensuring timely audit outcomes.
- Oversee cashflow and treasury activities, monitoring working capital and supporting financial risk management.
- Support Finance Leads on design and management of the month end process.
- Interface with project teams to ensure finance department is providing project support.
- Develop overall corporate budgets and business plan by working with projects and shareholders.
- Maintain strong financial controls and ensure compliance with accounting standards, audit requirements and statutory regulations.
- Drive processes and system improvements, enhancing efficiency, automation and the quality of financial information.
- Follow all company policies and procedures and actively support the continual improvement of the business management system (BMS) to ensure the goals and commitments of our HSEQS policy are consistently met.
Background and Experience
- Significant experience in a leadership role.
- Fully Qualified Accountant (ACCA, CIMA, CA or equivalent).
- Experience working in a fast paced and busy finance function.
- Highly proficient in Excel and Xero.
- Strong technical accounting knowledge.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
