About the Role
At Cooper Parry, we do things differently. Our Service Charge team is no exception. We’re looking for an experienced Service Charge Manager to take ownership of a varied commercial client portfolio while playing a key role in shaping how our service charge offering continues to grow and evolve. This is a hands‑on role that blends technical service charge expertise with client leadership, financial oversight, and the day‑to‑day management of a high‑performing team. The role will be based in our Birmingham hub, with a requirement to attend the office at least once a week.
Key Responsibilities
- Owning a commercial service charge portfolio, acting as the main client contact and ensuring delivery in line with RICS and industry standards
- Reviewing higher‑risk service charge accounts, providing technical oversight and guidance where it matters most
- Leading fees, billing and revenue management, including forecasting, WIP review and month‑end processes
- Supporting and developing the service charge team, setting priorities and overseeing resourcing
- Improving systems, processes and growth within the team
About You
- Strong background in service charge accounting, ideally across both commercial and residential portfolios
- Excellent client relationship and stakeholder management skills
- Experience in managing and developing staff members within a fast‑paced environment
- Confident in financial oversight, forecasting and billing processes
- Proficient with workflow and finance systems
- Highly organised, proactive, and comfortable working under pressure to meet multiple deadlines
