Temporary Assistant Accountant

We are currently supporting a fast-paced, growing business in Westhill that requires an experienced and hands-on Assistant Accountant to provide immediate temporary support for an initial period of 3-4 months.
\n
This is an excellent opportunity for a proactive finance professional who enjoys working in a dynamic environment and can quickly become part of a busy team.

The Opportunity
\n
Reporting into the finance function, you will take ownership of a range of practical month-end and day-to-day accounting activities across multiple entities. The role will suit someone who is organised, adaptable and comfortable managing a varied workload in a high-change environment.

Key Responsibilities
\n
- \n
- Month-end sales invoicing, including proforma invoicing across multiple legal entities
- Bank reconciliations across global operations
- Weekly posting and matching of bank data journals
- Processing credit notes and sales invoice adjustments
- Accounts Payable support, including payment runs and managing the AP inbox
- Daily cash allocation activities
- Processing employee expenses via the web-based expenses system
- Supporting the wider finance team with ad hoc finance and accounting tasks as required

About You
\n
To be successful in this role, you will ideally have:
\n
- \n
- Previous experience in an Assistant Accountant, Accounts Assistant or similar finance position
- Strong understanding of month-end accounting processes
- Experience with bank reconciliations, sales invoicing and accounts payable
- Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
- The ability to work independently and hit the ground running
- A flexible and proactive approach in a fast-moving environment
- Availability to start at short notice or immediately
