As Financial Accountant, you will ensure the timely and accurate provision of accounting entries and supporting analysis to the Finance Manager. The individual in this role will need to show a keenness and aptitude for getting things right, first time, and be committed to ensuring that the Finance function is professional and well respected.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Assist the Finance Manager with month end P&L reporting and analysis.
  • Prepare monthly balance sheet reviews and reconciliations to ensure the integrity of the balance sheet is maintained.
  • Own the Intercompany Reconciliation process to ensure we tie with all other Apleona entities across Europe, including allocations of some expenses across the wider business.
  • Own the credit card ‘Statement to P&L’ process for expenditure items.
  • Own the credit card ‘Receipt to Revenue’ process for incoming payments across the Irish entities.
  • Prepare Monthly Group Reporting packages for submission on a tight deadline, ensuring accuracy, completeness and understanding.
  • Prepare and submit responses to Government Surveys.
  • Assist in update process for Vendor & Customer Master Data.
  • Participate and deliver ad hoc projects, when necessary.

The Ideal candidate will need to have:

  • Part Qualified or Newly Qualified (AAT, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) or with a desire to pursue this pathway.
  • Ability to demonstrate meeting tight deadlines in a Group environment.
  • Ability to demonstrate excellent attention to detail when working under pressure.
  • Experience working in a busy office environment.
