Contract Project Manager – Finance Transformation (P2P / Payables) 6 months (initial) | Hybrid: 3 days in the office / 2 from home

If you’re a hands‑on Project Manager contractor who’s delivered change in Finance / Purchase to Pay (P2P) environments, this one’s for you. I’m working with an organisation that’s in the middle of a payables transformation programme and needs an experienced PM to come in, take ownership and drive delivery — planning, governance, stakeholder management, and getting workstreams over the line.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Owning delivery across a payables / AP transformation workstream (end‑to‑end)
  • Building and managing plans, RAID, dependencies, timelines and governance
  • Coordinating stakeholders across Finance, Ops, IT and third parties
  • Driving improvements across P2P processes, controls, automation and efficiency
  • Keeping updates tight: clear reporting, steerco packs, and comms that land

What you’ll need (must-have):

  • Solid track record delivering Finance transformation as a Project Manager
  • Strong understanding of Purchase to Pay / Accounts Payable (essential)
  • Confident operating in complex environments with multiple stakeholders
  • Delivery mindset — pragmatic, structured, and not afraid to challenge ERP/finance system change (e.g., process standardisation, workflow tools, automation)
  • Operating model / service delivery change within AP or shared services

Hybrid: 3 days in the office, 2 from home. Rate dependent on experience and alignment to the workstream.
