Cooper Parry Finance Recruitment are delighted to support our client, based in Dundee, to appoint a Finance Manager for a fixed term contract to cover maternity leave until December 2026. This role is due to commence asap and represents an excellent opportunity for an experienced finance professional to step into a varied position, working closely with the Head of Finance and leading a small and busy team. You will join a group with international interests, operating in the Engineering sector and will oversee a team of 4 staff.
The Role
- Reporting to the Head of Finance, you will oversee day‐to‐day finance operations, preparing consolidated management accounts for the group and will be responsible for preparing management accounts for one of the entities directly.
- You will supervise the team ensuring tasks are delivered accurately and on time, while also driving process and system improvements.
- Preparing and reviewing the consolidated group management accounts.
- Supporting the month‐end close process across multiple entities.
- Assisting with the preparation of the group management accounts pack with commentary.
- Approving purchase invoices, payroll and payment runs as required.
- Reviewing AP/AR balance and group VAT return.
- Managing internal recharges.
- Driving reporting improvements and ERP system development.
- Leading preparation of year‐end audit and liaising with auditors.
The Individual
We are ideally seeking a Qualified Accountant with strong technical accounting and people management experience. You will have excellent attention to detail, be confident managing multi‐entity reporting and enjoy working in a collaborative, hands‐on team environment. Experience of group consolidation and process improvement would be highly advantageous.
On Offer
- Fixed term contract (payrolled by client directly).
- Working hours 8.30am – 5pm Monday to Thursday, Friday 2pm finish (start and finish times can be flexible).
- In‐office working preferred.
- On‐site parking.
