Cooper Parry Finance Recruitment have been engaged by an SME to source an interim Financial Controller. This role is based in Bridge of Don with hybrid working and flexibility. This role is offered on an initial 6 month contract basis and candidates must be able to start within one month notice. Our client will consider candidates on a full time or 4 day per week basis.
Working closely with the leadership team, the successful candidate will ensure effective management and coordination of financial reporting, forecasting, budgeting, cash flow and strategic initiatives.
The Opportunity- Management of a small team
- Oversee the day-to-day finance function
- Prepare and review Financial Reporting, both internally and externally, including monthly financial accounts and monthly financial analysis
- Provide financial information for Group Consolidation in line with reporting timetable
- Ownership of the annual budget process
- Carry out forecasting, including budgets, periodic reforecasts and weekly flashes
- Oversee Treasury and Cash Flow Management
- Ensure Direct and Indirect Tax Compliance
- Ensuring compliance with accounting policies
- Implement and maintain internal control environment
- Driving business and financial process improvement
- Qualified Accountant
- Hands on industry experience in a finance leadership role
- Experience of managing teams
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong analytical ability
- Advanced Microsoft Excel and strong systems skills
- Hybrid working (minimum three days in the office)
