The Role

As Group Financial Controller, you will take ownership of the Group’s financial integrity — ensuring accuracy, compliance, and operational rigour across all entities. You’ll deliver timely, insightful financial information that empowers Executive and Board decision‑making, while driving continuous improvement in systems, controls, and processes. You will also lead the AP, AR and banking teams, ensuring strong transactional performance that underpins the wider organisation. This is an opportunity to step into a role where your leadership, commercial awareness, and technical expertise will shape the financial future of the business.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the production of accurate, timely monthly and annual financial statements
  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax requirements and statutory reporting
  • Maintain and continually strengthen the Group’s financial control framework
  • Manage year‑end audit processes and act as the primary contact for external auditors
  • Oversee the annual Group consolidation process

Budgeting, Forecasting & Planning

  • Support annual budgeting and regular forecasting cycles
  • Partner with the Head of FP&A and business leaders to deliver realistic, data‑driven forecasts
  • Contribute to long‑range financial planning and scenario analysis
  • Support business‑wide improvement initiatives in collaboration with the CFO

Cash Flow & Working Capital

  • Monitor and manage cash flow, liquidity and banking relationships
  • Drive strong working capital performance across debtors, creditors and inventory

Systems, Processes & Controls

  • Champion process improvement to enhance efficiency, accuracy and insight
  • Ensure effective governance and utilisation of finance systems
  • Lead or support finance‑related system upgrades and implementations

Leadership & Business Partnering

  • Lead, develop and empower the Group finance team
  • Act as a trusted adviser to senior stakeholders
  • Promote strong financial discipline and accountability throughout the organisation

Person Profile

  • Qualified accountant with extensive senior finance leadership experience
  • A self‑starter with the ability to work autonomously and proactively
  • Strong technical accounting knowledge
  • Advanced Excel and financial modelling capability
  • Experience operating in complex, multi‑geography environments
  • A “builder” mindset — motivated to create, develop and enhance processes
  • Strong problem‑solving skills and a practical, delivery‑focused approach
  • FMCG (Drinks) sector experience
  • QlikView experience
