We’re delighted to be supporting a well-established and growing organisation in Glasgow to recruit an experienced Accounts Payable Manager. This is an excellent opportunity to join a high-performing finance function during a period of change and transformation, where you will play a key role in driving process improvements and leading a busy AP team. This role is initially offered on a 6-month FTC, however there is clear scope for extension or a permanent opportunity for the right individual.

The Role

  • As Accounts Payable Manager, you’ll take ownership of the end-to-end AP function, ensuring accurate and timely processing of supplier payments while driving efficiencies across processes and controls.
  • Leading, mentoring and developing a team within the Accounts Payable function.
  • Overseeing the full AP cycle, from invoice processing through to payment runs.
  • Ensuring strong financial controls, compliance and governance across AP processes.
  • Managing supplier relationships and resolving escalations effectively.
  • Driving continuous improvement initiatives across systems, automation and workflows.
  • Supporting month-end activities including reconciliations and reporting.
  • Collaborating with wider finance and operational teams to improve end-to-end processes.

About You

We’re keen to speak with experienced Accounts Payable professionals who can bring both operational expertise and leadership capability. You will ideally have:

  • Proven experience operating at Accounts Payable Manager or senior supervisory level.
  • Strong knowledge of end-to-end AP processes and controls.
  • Experience leading and developing teams in a fast-paced environment.
  • A track record of driving process improvements or transformation initiatives.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • A proactive, hands-on approach with strong attention to detail.
