Part‑Time Payroll Assistant US Hours (typical shift 4pm to 9:30pm/10pm - from home)
Location: Glasgow - Flexible working patterns | Join a supportive, growing team - working from home, however, due to the nature of the role and on going training, candidates must live within any easy commute distance to Glasgow city centre.
We are delighted to partner with our client to offer an exciting opportunity for a Part‑Time Payroll Assistant to join their thriving finance team.
In this role, you’ll work closely with the Payroll Manager to help process weekly and monthly payrolls, handle Auto Enrolment tasks, and support a busy, friendly finance function.
With a variety of working patterns available (both daytime and evening), this position is ideal for someone looking to balance work alongside other commitments.
- What you’ll be doing
- Assisting the Payroll Manager with accurate weekly and monthly payroll processing.
- Supporting the administration of payroll functions — including tax and NI calculations, statutory payments (maternity, paternity, sickness, etc.), student loans, and other deductions.
- Processing new starters, leavers, and changes to employee data.
- Handling payroll queries, clearly explaining calculations and deductions to managers and employees.
- Helping prepare payroll reports and collate data when needed.
- Ensuring payroll compliance and accuracy, meeting key deadlines.
- Growing your payroll knowledge through hands‑on experience and guidance from an experienced team.

- Great communication skills — you’ll be comfortable explaining payroll details clearly and confidently.
