Cooper Parry (formally Hutcheon Mearns) are delighted to be supporting a long-standing returning client who is seeking a part-time Administrator to join their small but supportive team outside of Forfar/Brechin, Angus. This is a 12-month maternity cover contract, with hours ideally being three full days per week (9-5pm) or four shorter shifts. Flexibility around other commitments is available for the right candidate, with the role possibly becoming permanent, though this cannot be guaranteed. With an attractive salary of £27,000 - £30,000 pro rata. The ideal start date for this position is the 13th April 2026, to arrange hand over.
Working closely alongside the General Manager, other Administrators and Accounts Assistant, this role will be varied and require the successful candidate to be well-organised and detail-oriented to ensure smooth running of the office day-to-day.
The Opportunity
The administration element of the role involves the day-to-day operations of the three businesses. The responsibilities include:
- Liaising with management staff and communicating with other employees to ensure the completion of administrative tasks in accordance with operational requirements
- Generating invoices for goods and services in accordance with business requirements
- Processing supplier invoices and ensuring that all entries are correctly coded and approved
- Entering data and maintaining accurate records
- Efficiently and professionally responding to queries by telephone, email and in person
- Communicating effectively with customers and suppliers, to ensure the timely resolution of queries
- Performing other administrative responsibilities as required
