Cooper Parry Finance Recruitment are working with a well‑established business based in Portlethen to recruit a Payroll Coordinator to their team following an internal promotion. You’ll be joining a small, supportive payroll team, taking ownership of both UK and international payrolls while gaining exposure to wider finance and HR processes. It’s a great role for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and wants to build on their payroll experience.

The Opportunity

You’ll play a key part in ensuring payrolls are processed accurately and on time, while supporting ongoing improvements and projects within the team.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Processing multiple UK and international payrolls end-to-end
  • Inputting payroll data into SAP including tax codes, pensions, expenses and adjustments
  • Reviewing audit reports and payroll submissions prior to approval
  • Handling payroll queries from employees, HR and external bodies
  • Managing statutory requirements including P45s and pension auto-enrolment
  • Supporting payroll projects and process improvements
  • Ensuring compliance with UK legislation and internal policies

Background and Experience

We’re keen to speak with candidates who have a solid grounding in payroll and are looking to take the next step in their career. You’ll ideally have:

  • Around 3 years’ payroll or HR experience
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to meet tight deadlines
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Confidence working with confidential data
  • Good working knowledge of Excel and Office tools
  • SAP payroll experience would be a bonus, but not essential
