CMR offers an exciting opportunity for a Senior Planner / Lead Planner to join our dynamic team. Be a part of shaping our future, supporting delivery of a substantial investment plan to develop and enhance infrastructure and facilities.

The Senior Planner will play a key role in CMR’s future, providing a full planning service for all assigned projects. Responsibilities include schedule development, maintenance, monitoring, and recovery plan development activities. Additionally, the Senior Planner will provide technical support and guidance, including Work Breakdown Structure, Cost Breakdown Structure, and Resource Loading.

You’ll:

  • Creation of an overall Tollgate control programme with baseline estimates of how long each tollgate process (preparation up to approvals) takes.
  • Development and maintenance of an integrated P6 schedule at programme / CIP level.
  • Understand the construction process and estimate durations of each activity.
  • Understand and know how to undertake QSRA for P50/P80 risk profile.
  • Management of programme/project risk and opportunities to identify and deliver efficiencies and value likely time consequences of each risk/opportunity.
  • Management of contract programme assessments and acceptance/rejection, assessing CE’s and performing delay analysis.
  • Alignment of cost and schedule.

Essential We’re looking for:

  • Degree/Post-Grad level education in construction or business-related field.
  • Experience as a planner on projects over £5m, with proficiency in Primavera (P6) and MS Excel.
  • Experience in planning infrastructure projects, performing quantity takeoffs, and statistical analysis.
  • Understanding of engineering, procurement, contracts, construction processes, and NEC contracts.
  • Strong communication skills, personal resilience, and ability to operate within ambiguity.
