The predicted salary is between 36000 - 60000 £ per year.
You will work collaboratively with other Risk and Project Controls specialists, supporting the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of robust risk management and reporting processes across the programme lifecycle. To re-imagine project controls through a digital lens, becoming the obvious choice for clients and the place where our people grow together with intention.
Responsibilities
- Working closely with Project Management, Commercial, Engineering, and Stakeholder teams to proactively identify, assess, and manage project risks and opportunities.
- Supporting aviation-specific risk management requirements, including safety, regulatory, operational, and interface risks.
- Planning and facilitating structured risk workshops to ensure comprehensive identification of threats and opportunities across cost, schedule, safety, and performance.
- Guiding project teams in the development, maintenance, and ownership of risk registers, clearly defining causes, events, impacts, and mitigation actions.
- Supporting qualitative and quantitative risk assessments to inform project decision-making.
- Providing accurate risk data, analysis, and narrative to support monthly project reporting, governance forums, and senior stakeholder updates.
- Promoting a positive and proactive risk culture, encouraging transparency, early engagement, and continuous improvement.
- Supporting the integration of risk management with wider project controls functions such as planning, cost control, and change management.
Relevant experience
- Experience within a project management or project controls environment, ideally on large, complex infrastructure programmes.
- Experience working on aviation, transport, or similarly regulated environments (e.g. rail, defence, nuclear, highways).
- A technically minded individual with a solid understanding of risk management methodologies, mitigation strategies, and governance within an enterprise or programme environment.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to clearly explain risk concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Confidence in constructively challenging assumptions, data quality, and processes to improve risk outcomes and reporting.
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and reporting tools.
Desirable:
- Recognised professional qualification or membership such as APM, IRM, or equivalent.
- Experience supporting or running quantitative risk analysis for cost and schedule (e.g. @Risk, Primavera Risk Analysis, Safran, ARM).
- Familiarity with aviation regulatory frameworks and assurance environments (e.g. CAA, CAPs, safety management systems).
- Experience working within multi-disciplinary, client-facing consultancy environments.
Additional Information
- Full right to work in the UK.
- Ability to work in a hybrid arrangement, with a minimum of 2 days per week based at a London office or project site.
