Location: Near Ludham
Cooper Lomaz are working with a well-established engineering business to recruit an experienced Workshop Technician to join their Service Department based near to Ludham. This is a hands-on role suited to someone who enjoys fault-finding, problem-solving, and working with a variety of mechanical and electrical systems. You will be part of a supportive team but also trusted to work independently when required.
The Role
You’ll be responsible for servicing, maintaining, and repairing specialist machinery within a workshop environment, ensuring equipment is operating safely and efficiently. The role will also involve occasional customer interaction, providing technical support and guidance when needed.
What We’re Looking For
- Strong communication skills with a flexible, team-focused attitude
- Solid technical knowledge of hydraulic and electrical systems
- Basic understanding of hydrostatic drive systems and/or diesel engines
- Agricultural experience preferred, particularly with crop sprayers and GPS systems, would be highly advantageous (full training provided if not)
- Ability to follow instruction while also working independently in a safe and methodical manner
- Confidence speaking with customers over the phone and talking them through technical issues
- Steel welding and fabrication experience is desirable
- Excellent attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills
