Our client is seeking a skilled Fine Limit Sheet Metal Worker to join their fabrication team.
The successful candidate will be responsible for producing precision sheet metal components to customer specifications, specialising in bending, forming, fabrication, and finishing.
This role involves working with a variety of materials to manufacture high-quality components to exacting standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Manufacture precision sheet metal components using a range of fabrication techniques, including bending, cutting, pressing, riveting, stretching, forming, assembly, deburring, and finishing.
- Mark out, measure, and inspect components to tight tolerances.
- Work with a variety of materials, including aluminium, stainless steel.
- Interpret and work from engineering drawings, sketches, technical specifications, and verbal instructions.
- Set up and operate sheet metal fabrication equipment, including fly presses, brake presses, linishers, and other associated machinery.
- Ensure all tooling, jigs, and fixtures are maintained, fit for purpose, and in good working condition prior to use.
- Hand-form prototype panels and complex sheet metal components from flat sheet material where required.
- Carry out drilling, trimming, filing, grinding, deburring, and other finishing operations to achieve the required quality standards.
- Conduct in-process inspections to ensure all components meet dimensional and quality requirements.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organised working environment while following health and safety procedures.
