Our client, a rapidly growing manufacturing company is looking to recruit a Junior Maintenance Engineer to join their Evening Shift team. Reporting to the Engineering Manager, the successful candidate will support the maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of a wide range of manufacturing machinery and systems across the facility, alongside assisting with general building and facilities maintenance. This is an excellent opportunity for an aspiring engineer who is keen to develop their skills within a manufacturing environment. Full training will be provided, with the successful candidate initially working alongside the Engineering Manager to gain valuable hands-on experience and technical knowledge.
Duties
- Assist with routine inspections and preventative maintenance on mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic systems.
- Support fault finding and basic troubleshooting of manufacturing machinery.
- Assist with repairs and replacement of faulty components.
- Learn to interpret schematics, technical manuals, and engineering drawings.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance work and repairs.
- Support general building and facilities maintenance activities as required.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety procedures at all times.
- Work closely with the Engineering Manager and production teams to minimise downtime and improve efficiency.
