We're working with an established UK manufacturing business that has built a strong reputation in its sector and exports its products globally.

They're looking for a Sales Office Manager to take ownership of a team of 9 across Sales, Customer Service and Service Engineering.

This is a hands-on management role. You'll be leading the team, supporting customers, overseeing orders and making sure the sales operation runs properly.

What will you actually be doing?

You'll be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day Sales and Customer Support operation, including:

  • Managing and supporting a team of 9 across Sales, Customer Service and Service Engineering.
  • Acting as a key point of contact for incoming sales enquiries via phone and email.
  • Overseeing UK and export order processing through a bespoke CRM system.
  • Checking pricing, specifications and customer requirements before orders are processed.
  • Ensuring customers receive accurate delivery dates and regular updates.

  • Working closely with other departments to resolve customer and order issues.
  • Providing hands-on support and holiday/sickness cover when required.

What are we looking for?

We're not looking for someone who has simply managed an office.

You'll need

  • Previous Sales Office / Sales Administration experience.
  • Experience managing or supervising a team.
  • Strong customer service skills.
  • Excellent organisation and attention to detail.
  • Confident communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • The ability to manage multiple priorities without letting things slip.
  • A practical, hands-on approach - this isn't a role for someone who wants to sit back and delegate everything.
  • Experience with CRM systems and sales/order processes.

Fully office-based.

You'll be joining a well-established UK manufacturer with an international customer base and a role where you can genuinely influence how the Sales and Customer Support function operates.
