Overview: We are currently recruiting for an experienced Sheet Metal Fabricator with strong Brake Press experience to join a well-established engineering company based in Dartford. This is a hands-on workshop role working with a variety of materials to produce high-quality fabricated components to tight tolerances.
Key Responsibilities:
- Set up and operate Brake Press machinery (Amada/Bystronic/Trumpf or similar)
- Bend, form and shape sheet metal to engineering drawings
- Read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
- Work with mild steel, stainless steel and aluminium
- Carry out quality checks to ensure accuracy and tolerances are met
- Assist with general fabrication duties when required
- Maintain a safe and organised working environment
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Sheet Metal Fabricator
- Strong Brake Press operating and setting experience
- Ability to read and understand engineering drawings
- Experience working to tight tolerances
- Good attention to detail and quality standards
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
