Rural Sandwich Surveyor (September 2027 start)

Savills Rural team operate at the forefront of dynamic and forward thinking land management. From a UK network of over 30 offices, our surveyors and rural professionals offer a range of advice to clients including traditional estate management, the preparation of farms and estates for sale, forestry management and investment, as well as consultancy services such as valuation or acting in the delivery of infrastructure projects.

We have an opening for a Sandwich Year Placement Student to support our dynamic, fast paced and forward thinking Rural Professional team in London. The team provides core valuation and consultancy services to a range of institutional, private and public sector clients with a focus on rural property portfolios, landed estates and prime agricultural property across central England. This is a unique role with a varied workload and requires someone proactive, efficient and organised. Training and support towards the RICS APC Rural or Valuation Pathway will be provided as part of the role.

The Lincoln Estate Management Team manages a diverse portfolio of rural property and estates across Lincolnshire, Nottinghamshire and Leicestershire for a range of clients. We provide advice on property management, landlord and tenant matters, development opportunities, and estate strategy. The role in Lincoln offers exposure to a broad range of estate management and rural surveying work, including landlord and tenant matters and property management.

In addition, the role will include working closely with our Building Maintenance Manager, assisting in the coordination of maintenance programmes, property inspections, repair projects, statutory compliance requirements and contractor management across estate portfolios, providing valuable experience across both rural surveying and property maintenance. The Lincoln team is made up of 8 members. Benefits of an industry placement include gaining experience walking boundaries and inspecting properties, collating comparable evidence for valuations, dealing with residential, commercial or agricultural landlord and tenant issues, carrying out compulsory purchase advice or negotiating terms for access agreements and easements.
